It was more tears early morning in Lagos State after news about the rave "Ponzi Scheme", MMM, has crashed in Nigeria, which comes with massive losses for its many members. Details of the crash are still sketchy

Recalled that MMM crashes in Zimbabwe, with millions of money lost

MMM franchise also recently ended up, resulting in disbelief, shock and even suicide of some members who lost their life savings to the Ponzi Scheme. These scenario had led many to ask Nigerians involved to “get out while they could”, a plea which fell on deaf ears.

Sources confirm that the MMM shut down equates to a mind-boggling loss of over $100million, money which gullible Nigerians had ‘invested’ in the scheme, hoping for 30% returns. The reliable source went to Victoria Island to confirm the reality of the crash and was shocked to see men and women crying on the streets and disgruntled on how they lost everything. Of particular note was a young man, Ufot Edidiong that wanted to commit suicide by rolling on the road, while passers-by tried to console him.

It is said he invested N200, 000 meant for his upcoming wedding just Last Wednesday, only to realise that MMM had crashed.”My own don finish” he wept “mbok wetin I go tell Ememobong? Say I don Spend the money for dey werring for aim-aim-aim and e don doss (loss)? Abasi!”
