Gambia's President, Adama Barrow has said that Gambia will no longer bear the word 'Islamic' in it's official name, he stated that the country's population is about 90% muslims and 10% christains and animists, therefore 'islamic' will no longer be part of the official name, the previous official was " The Islamic Republic Of The Gambia" the present will be " The Republic Of The Gambia.

Ghanaians go to the polls today confused on whether like Nigerians, they should vote for “Change” or allow the status quo remain.
Ghana’s leading presidential contenders are incumbent president John Mahama of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Nana Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Akufo-Addo of NPP has brandished “change” as his key campaign slogan, pledging to create jobs, boost industrialisation and fight corruption, akin to Buhari's slogan which later saw him rack majority votes in Nigeria's 2015 elections.
According to Daily Mail Moses Mushonga, 28, had walked up to the young lady in Mvurwi, Zimbabwe. Firstly he manhandled her, leaning into her bra and touching her breast. After a long tussle and fervent pleas, the prostitute managed to break free. She grabbed her clothes, handbag and shoes before bolting out with the disappointed man, who had only managed to put on his trousers, in hot pursuit.
“We just heard her scream for help. Before seeing her emerge with her shoes and handbag in hand,” said the Caro. It was the lodging staff who calmed down the angry man. He is reported to have complained, claiming that he had been shortchanged as the watchmen and other staffers lead him out of the building.

Nigerian actor, Nkem Owoh, popularly known in showbiz as Osuofia, has featured in a National Democratic Congress (NDC) campaign advert.
The actor appears in an advert dubbed ‘This is the new Ghana’ which catalogues the achievements of President John Mahama’s government.
Osuofia, who recently said he was invited into Ghana by President Mahama, through Nigerian businessman Dele Momodu, has for some time now been touting the achievements of the NDC government.
He was a surprise guest at the unveiling of the Trust Sports Emporium (Bukom Boxing Arena) in Accra on Tuesday, November 15.
The actor expressed excitement at the transformation being enjoyed by the country saying, “transforming gradually on a very positive note and that makes me salute the president. I think he is doing a lot of work in Ghana”.
In the about a minute campaign advert, the popular Nollywood actor is seen arriving in Ghana through the Kotoka International Airport totally amazed at the transformation of the place.

How does the Electoral College system work?
The US president is not directly chosen by voters, but by ‘electors’ that people in a state vote for. The more people in a state, the more electors an area has. For example, Texas has a population of 25 million and is afforded 38 Electoral College votes, while Delaware has a population of 936,000 and has only three votes.
There are 538 electors in total, corresponding to 435 members of Congress, 100 Senators and three additional electors for the District of Columbia. They will meet in their respective states on 19 December to ultimately elect the President.
Almost every state chooses to allocate all its Electoral College votes to whoever comes in first place statewide, regardless of their margin of victory. Whoever gets to 270 electoral votes first – the majority of the 578 total votes – wins the election. And this time it was Mr Trump.

Obama invited Trump to meet with him at the White House on Thursday. Obama will make a statement at the White House later Wednesday on the election results.
Washington (CNN) President Barack Obama spoke to President-elect Donald Trump Wednesday morning to congratulate him on his victory, the White House said in a statement.
Obama invited Trump to meet with him at the White House on Thursday to update him on the transition, the statement said.
"Ensuring a smooth transition of power is one of the top priorities the President identified at the beginning of the year and a meeting with the President-elect is the next step," the statement said.
Obama will make a statement at the White House later Wednesday on the election results and speak about "what steps we can take as a country to come together after this hard-fought election season."
Obama, who publicly called Trump "unfit" for the Oval Office, campaigned aggressively for Hillary Clinton in the weeks leading up to Election Day to keep the former reality show star from being his successor.
"The choice you face when you step into that voting booth could not be more clear or could not be more serious," Obama said in Philadelphia on Monday.
