40-year-old man impregnates daughter for ritual

A 40-year-old man, Hafisu Ishaku has been accused of impregnating his 13-year-old daughter. Ishaku, claimed it was for ritual but his wife disagreed.

A native of Kabala Doki, Kaduna North local government area, Ishaku’s wife simply identified as Maryam informed the court that Hadizu impregnated their daughter while she was away for three months to attend to her parents.

She said: “When I returned from where I went to see my parents, as a mother I noticed my daughter was not behaving normal and at the same time she was sick. But I didn’t suspect anything initially because my husband always gives her some concoctions to drink which he claimed was to heal our daughter’s sickness.”

“But when the ailment persisted and I noticed my daughter had missed her period, I forced her to open up. She said her father had impregnated her when I travelled. So when I confronted Hafizu, he cried and confessed about joining a cult group which mounted pressure on him to get his daughter pregnant and also abort it as part of the sacrifice.”

“But after aborting the pregnancy, she later found out that the father continued to have sex with their daughter,” she added.

“I have filed for divorce at the Sharia Magistrate Court, Magajin-Gari, Kaduna. Asking for the full custody of my six children. But Hafizu constantly threaten me and the children.”

“He is allegedly conniving with one of his relative who resides in the same area with me here in Kaduna to seize the children from me,” Maryam claimed.

According to Daily Sun, Hafizu, who deals in electronics at Maraba market, Abuja could not be reached for comment as at the time of filling this report.

Just recently, the residents of Emure in Emure Local Government Area of Ekiti State, were thrown into a state of shock as a 50-year-old man allegedly impregnated his 14-year old daughter and subsequently murdered her to cover up his act.

Neighbors who had been suspicious of the unholy rapport between father and daughter began to peddle rumours when they started noticing some transformation in the girl which suggested that she was pregnant.
