Wayne Rooney, the captain of Manchester United captain, has ruled out ever playing for another EPL side.
With Mourinho now installed as Red Devils boss and the Manchester United captaincy his, the 30-year-old has no plans to play for anyone else in the EPL.
Rooney said:
“I am happy to say now that, whatever may happen in the future, I will never play for another Premier League club.”
Rooney’s statement rules out even a return to his former club Everton.
The player seemingly remains a key part of Mourinho’s plans. Mourinho said:
“Wayne is, and has been, England’s best player for over a decade”.
Meanwhile, according to the UK Mirror, Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney has been offered a £100 million deal to leave Manchester United and move to China.
Shanghai Shenhua reportedly offered £27million to the striker for a three-year deal worth £500,000-a-week. Rooney still has two years left on his current deal at Old Trafford but the Chinese side are willing to spend big to make him the face of the Super League.
Recall that Jackson Martinez, Ramires, Alex Teixeira, Nikica Jelavic, Gervinho, Paulinho, Gael Kakuta and Asamoah Gyan have all joined Chinese sides.
