BBNaija: Isilomo And Avala Evicted

400 Level AAU Medical Student Shot Dead (photos)

A 400 level medical student of the Edo State owned Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, has been shot dead, Igbere TV reports. The victim identified simply as Timothy, was said to have been killed at his off campus residence in Ekpoma. Though details of the incident was still sketchy as at press time, our source, however, hinted that it may not be unconnected with cult related clash. According to our source, who is also an AAU student, Timothy was murdered today, July 7, “a day dreaded by all.” “7/7 (July 7) of every year is very popular amongst students, being a day set aside by members of secret groups to celebrate ...

“I believe his death may have something to do with today's event. As we speak, there are parties everywhere in town. Shop owners are already shutting down and students staying away from town due to fear that there may be reprisal attacks tonight.” But a course mate of the deceased, who pleaded anonymity, argued that the victim is a lover of peace who ‘cannot even kill a fly.’ “All I know is that he (the victim) was all loving, very respectful and nice person. “He was one of the nicest persons I have ever met. He is in my department (medicine). He doesn't look for trouble and he runs away from any negativity. He doesn't even have time for irregularities..

“He was that good and his death still remains a misery to us all and I pray he is accepted into God’s kingdom,” he added. Similarly, a former hostel mate of the murdered student, insisted that the deceased could not have harmed anyone. "I don't think so, Timothy is very responsible, funny and relate with everyone well when we lived in the same hostel. He moved over a year ago so we only talk on WhatsApp once a while.

“I only heard he was shot in his hostel this morning, my friend who is his colleague says tomorrow he will find out out what actually happened.” He, however, directed us to a female student simply identified as Liliet, whom he described as the late student's “bestie.” She, however, declined comments when our correspondent reached out to her for reactions. “Please leave me alone, he (Timothy) doesn't deserve all this. So please leave me alone, I can't say anything. No one deserves to be talked about this way,” she declared. Efforts to reach the University's Dean of Students, Prof Don Akhilomen, for comments were unsuccessful.

When contacted by Igbere TV, Spokesman for the Edo State Police Command, DSP Chidi Nwabuzor, said he was not aware of such incident. He, however, promised to get in touch with the police in Ekpoma, but was yet to get in touch with us as at the time of filing this report.

Why I went stark naked on Instagram — Christabel Ekeh

Sultry Ghana/Nigerian actress, Christabel Ekeh, has never failed to get all eyes looking in her direction with her below-the-belt antics and theatrics.  Her Instagram account is loaded with provocative pictures and videos of all sorts. But days ago, the actress simply went over the edge and got many thinking if she had not lost it. She posted her naked pictures, in several poses. When I say stark naked, the actress was not wearing a thing!

In the stark nude pictures, she was sitting bare, Yoga-style, backing the camera with an inscription ‘fuck u’ bold at her back.
Many people thought it couldn’t have been her sharing such obscenity, that her account could have been hacked. But in an interview with Joy TV, the pretty actress, admitted posting them herself, saying she was only introducing ‘the new her’ to the world.
“I want the world to see new Christabel. I was only introducing my new self. New Christabel is new, whoever you can imagine. That’s why I’m not wearing anything. So, whatever you want to wear on me, that’s your imagination,” She dismissed speculations that her account may have been hacked and the pictures were posted by someone else.

Manchester United League group draw Pot 2 after Europa win

Manchester United will be in Pot 2 for August's Champions League group stage draw after they confirmed their place in the competition with a 2-0 win over Ajax in the Europa League final on Wednesday.

Goals from Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan won the trophy for Jose Mourinho's men.

United would have been in Pot 3, ranked below Napoli, Tottenham Hotspur and FC Basel, had they qualified by finishing in the top four and not competed in Europe this season. But their Europa League success, and the UEFA coefficient ranking points it earned, has proved useful on two fronts.

The Premier League will have five teams in next season's Champions League -- Chelsea, Tottenham, Manchester City and United in the group stage, and Liverpool in the final qualifying round.

It also means England will have just two representatives in the Europa League, with Arsenal straight to the group stage and Everton in the third qualifying round, which starts at the end of July.

United's victory gives Czech Cup winners FC Fastav Zlin a direct route to the Europa League group stage. They have only once before played in Europe, when they lost to PSV Eindhoven in the first round of the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1970.

Real Madrid completed the lineup of Champion League seeds on Sunday when they wrapped up La Liga. Bayern Munich, Juventus, Benfica, Chelsea, Monaco, Spartak Moscow and Shakhtar Donetsk are also in Pot 1.

Pots 2 to 4 are based on UEFA club coefficient over the last five years. There will be a strong collection of teams in the second pot, with Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund, Man City, FC Porto and United assured of their places.

They will be joined in Pot 2 by Sevilla if they come through the final qualifying round with Napoli, who also may have to qualify, able to benefit if the La Liga team are eliminated. If both Sevilla and Napoli fail to make the group stage, Tottenham would move up.

At present Roma face being in Pot 4, though will move up to Pot 3 if a seeded team loses in the playoffs.

The group stage draw takes place on Aug. 24.
