Manchester United’s David de Gea has possibly sqashed any rumours about a move by claiming he is willing and ready to work under new manager Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho was appointed United boss last week after Louis Van Gaal left the club while De Gea almost joined Real Madrid last summer but a broken fax machine scuppered the transfer on deadline day.
De Gea signed a new big money contract at United just days later and the Spain goalie is ready to work under the new manager.
However, he has attempted to put all speculation to bed by admitting he’s excited to work under new manager Jose Mourinho.
He told Spanish outlet Marca:
“Talk about Jose Mourinho and you’re talking about a winner. Winning is United’s, Jose’s and my philosophy. We can make a great team and I welcome him.
“I’ve got three more years on my contract with United and the desire to win more titles here.
“When it comes to United, if you don’t win everything, it’s not good enough. This FA Cup is important for the club, it’s important for the fans, and it’s an important step towards winning major titles again.”
